Housing Support
Stable housing is the foundation for long-term success. City Living NY helps young adults aging out of foster care find, secure, and maintain safe, affordable housing. We also provide furniture and household essentials that help turn an empty apartment into a comfortable home.
Education Support
Education can open doors to stable careers and greater independence. We help participants explore academic programs, apply for financial aid, and find tutoring and other resources. From the first application through graduation, we offer practical support and encouragement.
Parenting Support
Parenting without a dependable support network can feel overwhelming. We help young parents find child care, access essentials for their children, and navigate challenges as they arise. Our Parenting Journey group also gives parents a place to share experiences and connect.
Workshops & Training
Our monthly workshops help participants strengthen life skills and make connections. We cover topics such as budgeting, job readiness, cooking, and healthy relationships. Town halls and outings offer more ways to learn, share experiences, and explore New York City.
Alumni Program
Graduating from our core program does not mean saying goodbye. Alumni can return to City Living NY for help when setbacks arise, join events and excursions, mentor current participants, and help shape our programs through the Alumni Advisory Board.
Emergency Grants
An unexpected expense can threaten the stability a young person has worked hard to achieve. We provide timely financial assistance when urgent needs arise, helping participants address immediate challenges and take the next steps toward regaining their footing.
